LUMBERTON — PSRC sixth graders dreamed big as they interacted with several PSRC Career and Technical Education program booths at the inaugural PSRC CTE Showcase for sixth graders on Wednesday and Thursday at the Southeastern Agricultural Events Center.

RALEIGH — On Tuesday, Gov. Roy Cooper visited Dorothy B. Johnson Pre-K Center as part of “The Year of Public Schools” education tour. The governor was joined by teachers, students, local education leaders and local elected officials as he highlighted the outstanding work being done at the Dorothy B. Johnson Pre-K Center and New Hanover County Schools and the ways that public education is strengthening North Carolina’s communities.

Robeson Community College is rolling out new efforts to bring more adults who may have not completed a degree or job training program back to the classroom through a new Better Skills. Better Jobs. Better Future. campaign.

LUMBERTON — Lumberton City Council denied a rezoning request for a proposed event center in South Lumberton, citing numerous concerns about the proposed venue and the impact it could have on nearby residents.

PEMBROKE – The identities of Robeson County families photographed during the Great Depression as part of a Farm Security Administration collection kept at the Library of Congress have remained a mystery for nearly 90 years.
